An instrument of performance

The AW2 is a shoe with a low upper that gives you total freedom of movement. But it's no less secure: TPU inserts on the outer forefoot and heel give you rock-solid stability. Your feet will also be perfectly wedged in your shoe, thanks to the synthetic upper and the two anti-slip pads in the heel. The outsole features herringbone traction in the midfoot and multidirectional traction in the forefoot and heel.

Innovative structure

A novel system called “Three Core” is incorporated into the shoe. The concept? A unique midsole composed of 3 superimposed technologies: “P-Ultralight” cushioning at the top and “Taichi” cushioning at the bottom. A “Foothold+” carbon plate is inserted between the two foams. The aim? Absorb all impact during jumps and acceleration, then offer you the sensation of instant propulsion, like a catapult. The transfer of energy between these 3 layers guarantees 2 things: the unrivalled explosiveness you'll constantly demonstrate, and reduced muscle fatigue in your feet and legs.

Personal accolades

The AW2 draws on Andrew Wiggins' history to further personalize the shoe. In addition to his logo on the TPU heel insert, the shoe features personal elements linked to Mapple Jordan, such as Wiggins' signature on the lace loop and his number 22 on the top of the tongue and the strap at the back of the shoe. Wiggins is also keen to pay tribute to his family and recall his victorious career with other elements on the outsole.
